About
Our deep love for nature and camping inspired us to create a sanctuary of serenity. Initially, it was a personal haven, but when family and friends fell in love with our 'piece of heaven,' they encouraged us to share it with the world. And so, Moriti Bush Camps was born.
In June 2014, we opened our first camp, Nyala, with a clear vision: to offer a private and exclusive escape, far from the crowds and noise—just the way we like it. As demand grew, we expanded to meet the needs of our guests, adding Matopi in 2018 and a second ablution facility at Nyala in 2021 to accommodate tour groups. Despite our growth, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to our core values.
In 2022, we proudly introduced Kingfisher and Jacana Camps, ensuring that each guest experiences an unparalleled connection with nature. However, with four camps, we realized we no longer had a place to call our own! This led to the creation of a 'wild camp' for personal use, which, due to popular demand, evolved into Hornbill Camp in 2024. Now open to the public, Hornbill offers a rustic charm—complete with an ablution facility but without electricity.
As we celebrate 10 incredible years of sharing our passion for nature, we invite you to experience the beauty and tranquility of Moriti Bush Camps for yourself.
